Privacy notice
Version 1.0, in effect from October 25, 2026
This notice covers the Bright Bubs website and its waiting list. The Bright Bubs app will have its own privacy policy, published before the app is available.
Who is responsible
Bright Bubs is made by Aytebit, a business registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under KVK number 42105229. Aytebit is the controller for the personal data described here. For anything about your personal data, write to privacy@aytebit.com.
What the website collects when you visit
The website has no accounts and sets no cookies. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address, the page you ask for, the time and your browser’s description of itself, in order to deliver the page and to protect the site from abuse. Our server code keeps a short technical log of errors for a few days, so that we can find and fix problems; that log never contains your email address.
The typefaces, styles and images are served from this website itself, so your browser contacts no other party when it loads these pages.
If you join the waiting list
When you join the waiting list, we process:
- your email address;
- the code of the link you came from, if there was one, so that we know which of our posts or emails led you here;
- the country your connection comes from, which Cloudflare reads from your connection; we keep only the country and never your IP address;
- the time you joined and the time you confirmed your address.
After you confirm your address, you may answer two optional questions: the age group of your child and what would help you most. We keep your answers with your email address. The age group is a range, such as “1 to 2”, and never a name or a birth date.
We use this to email you when Bright Bubs is ready to download, and now and then before that with a game to try, and to understand which families are interested, so that we can build the app for them.
Why, and on what basis
We email you because you asked us to: the basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You confirm it twice, once by sending the form and once by tapping the button in the email we send you. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to privacy@aytebit.com, and we then stop emailing you. Delivering and protecting the website rests on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long it is kept
If you do not confirm your address, it is not added to the waiting list. If you confirm, we keep your address and your answers until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and at the latest two years after the app launches.
Who else receives it
Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) stores the waiting list and sends our emails, on our behalf. Brevo stores its data in the European Union and uses some service providers outside it, including in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Cloudflare, Inc. serves the website and runs its server code, on our behalf, under the same safeguards. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone to advertise to you.
Your rights
You may ask for access to your personal data, and for its correction or erasure. You may also ask us to restrict its processing, or object to it. Where it applies, you may ask to receive your data in a portable format. Send such a request to privacy@aytebit.com. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the authority in the country where you live.
Changes
If this notice changes, its version and date change with it, and the change is described here.
